Deep Love For Food
Established in 1986 in Chinatown, Bee Kim Heng was founded by my grand father along side his seven children. The name Bee Kim Heng translates to Beautiful Golden Smell, a reflection of the rich flavors and tradition behind our craft.
Originally a staple at the Golden Gate Centre, Bee Kim Heng quickly became a beloved part of the community. seven years later, the business expanded into two locations-Bee Kim Heng Jerky and Kim Heng Noodle, each carrying forward our family’s culinary heritage.
In 1993, my father continued the Bee kim Heng Jerky legacy at Main and Broadway, while my aunt took over Kim Heng Noodle at Keefer and Gore. Though they operated separately, both businesses shared the same roots, connected by tradition, craftsmanship, and a deep love for food.
Now, after 38 years, these two family legacies are reuniting and returning to Chinatown. Our new space will bring back the essence of Bee kim Heng, with our fresh jerky cooked at the front and a Malaysian fusion restaurant in the back, bringing together the flavors and traditions that started it all
